Bible Verses Relating to the Rapture Teaching and the Second Coming of Christ
"The word "Rapture" is found in the Bible in light of what the scoffers of today would rather say. The word "rapture" comes from Paul's "caught up" remark mentioned in 1 Thess. 1:17. The words "caught up" are translated from the inspired Greek word "harpazo", which means "to carry off," "snatch up," or "grasp hastily." The translation from harpazo to "rapture" involved two steps: first, harpazo became the Latin word raptus; second, raptus became the English word "rapture."
This is an in depth personal study I have done to challenge myself and to see what the Holy Scriptures truly teach on the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus Messiah. The Rapture doctrine is ABSOLUTELY sound as sure as Messiah's Second Coming! Wherever it is inferred to or pertaining to the Church that we shall be changed, glorified, made perfect or complete, or Christ's manifestation, appearing or revealing, or our joy, hope and expectation we can be sure when taken in the right context that the Lord is commnicating with His betrothed Bride that He is personally coming for us and to bring us to Himself (John 14:3)! Jesus taught it, Paul, James, Peter, Jude preached it so we should receive it, believe it, look for it and run with it until our death or until He comes!
