All You Need Is Love??

In Roman mythology Cupid usually appeared as a winged infant carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows. Cupid’s arrows would induce wounds of inspired love or passion in all of his victims. Cupid is frequently invoked as a fickle, playful, and deviant (perverse) individual. Cupid sounds much like a child of the sixties.

John Lennon of the Beatles coined the phrase "All you need is love", but the "love" in which he spoke of was not the TRUE ETERNAL LOVE which transcends time and ETERNITY, who's foundations are RIGHTEOUSNESS, TRUTH and JUDGMENT.

Eros is the Greek name for this being and also the Greek word for love (i.e., LUST), which describes the unbridled sexual passions of fallen man (Rom. 1:24, 28, 29). The sole desire of Eros love is to find self-gratification or self-fulfillment in another individual and the foundation of this sensual love is the foundation of Lucifer's demonic ideology, "Do as thou wilt". Eros love may come across as caring and generous but without the ETERNAL foundations of TRUE LOVE or Almighty God's ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS LOVE, it's outworking is totally demonic. Eros love may give the individual a genuine feeling for or attraction to someone, but the bottom line of this “love” is that it is rooted in a narcissistic (self-centered) mindset as is seeking to be pleased (Gal. 5:19; Eph. 5:5; James 1:14-15; Jude 1:10). Just look at the out working of the Eros love from the Beatles to our day. Lawlessness abounds, narcissism abodes, sexual addiction abounds, drug addiction abounds, the family unit neared destroyed, government tyranny abounds and the list goes on and on. The Beatles opened the door for this demonic ideology here in America and countless Christians and conservatives are oblivious to that REALITY. Their music was a Trojan horse but their subtle message and their agenda a demonic blitzkrieg.

Countless people throughout the music world always remember the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and are rejoicing in their music, trendsetting ways of secularism, "do as thou wilt" ideology" and are oblivious of the demonic deception behind it and where it has led us some 50 years later (Eph. 2:1-2, 6:12). I know... I sound like a kook and a nut but there it is my friends... if you have eyes to see or want to!

Eros love only asks the question, “What can you give me?” What can I get from you to satisfy my hungry, famished soul and my unbridled sexual passions?

Eros love NEVER seeks to give for the betterment of another individual. Eros love only asks the question, “What can you give me?” What can I get from you to satisfy my hungry, famished soul and my unbridled sexual passions? The reality is that Eros love can never satisfy the unregenerate soul of fallen man; only God ETERNAL TRUE and RIGHTEOUS LOVE can (Matt. 11:28-30; John 6:35; James 3:8). Eros love is a burning fire. Once the object is consumed, desire is left looking for more to feed its unquenchable appetite. The more it devours, the more it wants, until the individual is completely ravished by this monster in its all-consuming addiction. When this Eros monster is left wanting and unfulfilled, anger, resentment, hatred, envy and bitterness begin to manifest themselves in the possessed individual’s heart and life (Rom. 1:24-26). Thus are created - and grow even heavier - chains of bondage for the captives of this “Eros-erotic despot." Can you not see that this is our land today? It has been ravished by the lawless deeds and destructive ways of Eros's self love.

The number one American addition is this unbridled beast of Eros-erotic love, i.e., sexual addiction.

The unchecked passions of man are an appetite unsatisfied and unstopped by the gratification of the flesh. Like an addict, the unbridled passions of sexually driven men and women create a tsunami of psychological and social discord and physiological disorders that spill over from the individual into our societies and communities. The number one addiction in America today is not cocaine, it is not alcohol, it is not marijuana, it is not heroin, it is not Oxycontin, etc. The number one American addition is this unbridled beast of Eros-erotic love, i.e., sexual addiction (James 1:14-15). This Eros beast is currently reigning supreme and dominant in America in every facet of life, culture and society.

The love of God ONLY gives and ONLY seeks that which is the highest and best for its object of love based and rooted in MORAL ABSOLUTES and ETERNAL RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH.

In light of our post Beatles's America, do you know the agape LOVE of Almighty God that is found ONLY in His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17)? God so LOVED you that he sent His Son to pay the price for your transgressions against the RIGHTEOUS standards of Almighty God (Rom. 10:4; 1 Peter 3:18). The love of God ONLY gives and ONLY seeks that which is the highest and best for its object of love based and rooted in MORAL ABSOLUTES and ETERNAL RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH. My dear friend, I do not know how to say anything more wonderful than that! The one true God and Creator of the Universe truly LOVES you (1 John 4:10)! My dear friends, follow the One who LOVED you and GAVE Himself to you that you might be with Him FOREVERMORE in the ETERNAL LOVE of  Father (Gal. 2:20). Place your trust in Him today and FOREVERMORE will you sing, "All you need is the ETERNAL God's love!
